Our Lady of Mount Carmel features a detachable appliquéd Baby Jesus and scapular on her cloak.
In this beautiful apparition, Our Lady appeared to St. Simon Stock on July 16th, 1251 and gave him the brown scapular. She promised, “Whoever dies wearing it shall not suffer eternal fire.”
